My doctor wants me to get to the point where I am taking 1500 mg a day. Because I read all the warnings about the gastro-intestinal problems this drug can cause I am taking it very slowly. I started out with just half a pill and then have been slowly increasing it. My doctor encouraged me to do this. I'm up to a pill and a half now. I just felt a little bloated and gassy after one pill. Yesterday when I added the extra half I had some diahrrea.
