I have been diagnosed for all most 1 year. My OBGYN was useless for help with PCOS. I was prescribed Yasmin which wasn't any help at all. In fact I was filled with anxiety and felt crazy. I quit taking it and was finally moved to see an endocrynologist. You'll see the Glucophase and Glucophase XR ( metformin) tossed around alot on this board and others. In my opinion, Yasmin is a quick fix and doesn't help. Birth control pills have been known to shrink ovarian cyst and regulate periods (read the insert of the pill) however if you find no relief or improvments. I encourage you both to see a endocrinologist. I hope you find this helpfull !
