Hi Laura:

I have both PCOS and hypothyroidism (actually no thyroid at all due to surgery). I felt horrible hypothyroid. Once I started Synthroid and was on it for several weeks and finally got the dose adjusted...I felt MUCH better! You're too young to remain hypothyroid. It really makes one feel old. I am overweight and the Synthroid hasn't helped with that, but I was also on Glucophage 1500 mg. per day for 2 years, and that didn't help either. I'm thinking of asking my doctor about Armour. I've heard some good things about it. But I have no complaints about Synthroid. I hope this helps.
