However, if trying to induce ovulation, it can be increased up to 1750 mg or higher. Birth control pills will help regulate periods, clear up acne and minimize hair growth. However, alternative medication for hair growth is Spirolactone. Some people have conceived using Metformin alone, but many people also have to take Clomid to help induce ovulation. Glucophage and Metformin are the same thing, one is just a generic brand of the other. Hope this helps!
