Caroline, I wish I could help more, but this is what I do know. The dark spots, I have been told, are from having too much estrogen in your system. The pill could have ballanced you. If you take a pill with only progesterone, I would think that this would, not reduce the estrogen, but ballance it. Also, I do not want to soudnlike an advertisement here, but I am using Proactive Solution and have foudn it to be helpful. there is a cheeper version now Ihave seen advertised on TV. You can even get it at Wallmart or some place like that. Maybe give it a try.
