Im 19 an diagnosed as IR... on glucophage an spiro.. i was on ortho tri cyclen for about a year a few years back.. i had no problems on the pill.. but it didnt help the acne to my liking.. so i went off it.. as soon as i went off it i got melasma... (dark spots) all over my face.. a problem that i NEVER had the whole time i was on the pill.. this is very bothersome to me.. as i never go in the sun an it continues to worsen.. i talked it over with my RE an he thinks the BCP protected me from it.. an wants me to go back on the pill.. (a progesterone only version) to correct this problem... have any of you tried a progest only bcp? did it worsen acne? do yall have any experience with melasma NOT from being on the pill.. but from coming off it? also i have some weird swellings on my face.. they look like swollen cords.. they are skin color.. an are not veins or arteries... my derm says he thinks they are tunneled infection from cysts and acne.. have any of you had the same problem? or know what i can do for it? thanks so much!
