Where to go from here?

Hey Everyone,

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in college roughly 5 years ago. I was immediately put on birth control pills and that was it. In June I got married and my husband and I really want a baby. Both his parents and mine aren't in the best of health and we would like them to see their grandchild as well. I've had my doctor for the past 2 1/2 years. She put me on glucaphage about a year ago but I wasn't that great at taking it. The last time I saw her in April she gave me the extended release. I also mentioned to her then that I wanted to try for a baby after I got married. And she didn't say anything just talked about me losing weight. Now I know that losing weight is important. But I really want a baby as well that can have some time with their grandparents. So,I went off my birth control in May. I'm taking the Glucaphage XL. Does that help at all with ovulation? I know it doesn't induce it like CLomid. But does it affect it at all? I moved when I got married and need to find a Doctor closer to my house. My current one is 45 minutes away and in a very busy office (usually 6-9 month wait for non-ob appointments). I'm due for a pap in September due to abnormal results the last 2 times. Should I go make another appointment for another doctor now and just start asking for clomid? Or should I just bit down and give the glucaphage time?

What do you recommend?
