You should go to Dr. Glueck's pcos website. He has studies showing the benefits of taking met through pregnancy. You can show these to your doctor. I think that the average dosage is 1500 mg a day. However, it varies for each individual woman. Some take more and some less. I continued with my normal dosage of 1850 mg a day through week 14 and felt great. At week 17 I took an amnio and everything was normal. And for the last couple of months I'm only taking 500mg a day since my pcos seems to have temporarily halted while I'm pregnant. I strongly believe that the met helped me to so far maintain this pregnancy. I've never ever felt better healthwise. Though my ob/gyn would prefer me to not continue the met, she leaves the ultimate choice to me. And more and more women are making the same choice as I am. Good luck!!!
