Re: Baby with Met

Hi, Just FYI, I'm 23 weeks pregnant and still taking metformin. I kept up my normal dosage until week 14 and since then I'm only on one pill a day with dinner. My amnio was normal as well as all ultrasounds. So far I've only gained five pounds and my blood sugar is normal. My ob/gyn said she thought I should go off of it after 12 weeks but all the research I could find as well as several endocrinologists seemed to indicate that staying on it would only be beneficial. And so far it has. I feel great and my pcos seems to temporarily have halted while pregnant.
