-- My name is Amanda, when I was 16 years old my mother talked me into getting a noraplant, I did and started having problems right away, after a year of problems I decided to get it removed, after the removel I would have missed periods, for 2 or 3 months at a time, then after a while they stopped altogether, I then met my boyfriend kenny, when I was 18 we decided to try for our fist child, But since I had no periods i had trouble trying to get pregnant, I went to my OBGYN to get help they put me on some pills to help me have a period. I helped me to have a few spotting times, but that was all, after 2 years of trying I finally got pregnant, but after my first child, my periods stopped after i stopped my pills, so for almost 2 years I could not have a second child, then when my first child was 14 months old i had three days where I spotted, I turned up pregnant, It was great but my youngest child is four and i have not had a period since his birth, and every since the noraplant I have had lots of gained weight I went from a size 7 before the implant to a size 20 now. I cant lose weight no matter what I do and I have stomache problems all the time. And I am worried about not having a period. I just found out that there was a lawsuit out for the noraplant, Is this true? And is it still going on? If so could anyone give me some advice on how to get involved? Thanks to all, and I hope the best for everyone going through the same deal.
