I am in my mid-30s with hypertension. I have been diagnosed with PCOS since I was 23 years old. I was lucky enough to have two kids (4 yrs and 15 mths). I have been bit by the baby bug again however, the hypertension is a major issue. Before I got pregnant with the first one, I had a huge weight loss. Then lost the weight again after the baby was born but up 10 lbs. Then 10 more lbs after the second one. Always had issues with high blood pressure 'the White coat syndrome'. Second measurement is much lower than the first. Right now I am on a diuretic and trying to walk 3-4 times a week. Easier said than done with young ones. Also mostly whole grains and low/no sugar. I want to know if anyone has been able to go off hypertension medications after Metformin. I am not too conviced about trying allopathic medicines. Been trying Saw Palmetto, Vitex, and Omega-3s and that has worked wonders for the symptoms that they are taken for. Thanks! Jayme SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month!
