Beth, Yes you should definetly see the endocrinologist he/she should understand the disease better than your ob/gyn. He should run blood work do all the standard test and recommend some method of treatment based on how severe your case is. The problem with PCOS is that it does not go away. Also the older you get the more side affects can develop like diabetes, high blood pressure, chlosterol levels, etc. So even if you are not experiencing any of this issues now find a doctor who can help to monitor you and keep it from developing into more serious issues. Keep your ob/gyn in the loop and working with the endo for the best results.
