Hey Laura -

I have been recently diagnosed with both hypothyroid and PCOS. I am currently taking synthroid for about 5 months now. And I have to admit that I have not had much success. The weight issue will not just fall off because of this medicine. I have actually gained more weight. I am hoping that the medication for the PCOS will help me to lose weight. My thyroid levels are under control with the medication but that has not helped the weight. I am thinking that my weight problem is stemming from the PCOS. Has your physician told you anything like that?
