Please tell me I misunderstood the meaning of your last sentence.

As a birthmother (and PCOSer) for several years, I don't understand what you meant by "better off than what they are now". Do you have prior knowledge of all adoptives backgrounds?? Are you going to teach your child that they would have become nothing without you and your family?? We look at my daughter as a gift..the time we all spend with her and her family is precious. I (and most birthfamilies these days)made an informed decision for her life before she was born and even though I did it to give her a better life...who's to say she is "better off"? Who are you to say your family is better than your child's birthfamily?? I certainly hope you won't raise your adopted children with this understanding. When they come to you one day...and they will..requesting to learn of their biological background...will you tell them the truth or will you tell them you "saved them" from certain destruction thru their birthfamily?

As a PCOS sufferer, I am proud to be a part of my child's life so I can guide her thru the next several years!!

Again..please tell me I misunderstood your meaning!!!
