Hi Sally
If the only problem you have is hirutism then you do not need to be on
the pill.
You said you are not insulin resistant and have normal periods - so all
you need is an anti-androgen like Spironolactone - it is a diuretic but
also helps with hirsutism.
Ask your GP - you may have to really ask around and be referred to
specialists as spironolactone is not given to pcos patients in the uk as
yet.
Otherwise for hirsutism alone there are many homeopathic treatments -
you will have to see a qualified homeopath.
