DeproveraFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 17 Jun 2003 23:15:14 -0500 (CDT)
Hi: I started Deprovera about 2 weeks ago.. and I am still having my period.. I have been having problems with my period since December of last year.. In March of this year I got a d and c.. The first period was heavy.. They said it would.. but the second period was really heavy.. I was flooding so bad.. It was then that he started me on the double birth control method(orthrotryclen)..., then skipped my green pills...and went right into a new pack.. I started my period a week early then he said that I needed to be on soemthing more stronger.. now I am on the Deprovera shot and have been menustrating for 15 days straight.. Some of the time.. I guess it is spotting... My cramps are so bad that I get kind of nauseated with it.. Is there anything to worry about? Should I call my gyno? I have called him probably at least 10 times.. Everytime I call with a concern about my period he puts me on something different... I just don't know what to do anymore.. I have a history of iron deficient anemia.. I have been taking my vitamins.. Please give me some advice.. Carol
