I didn't see the original email....but I've always been a sweater too. My hands and feet have sweat profusely since I was a kid. Dad promised they'd stop when I hit puberty.....two kids and 40 some years later and I still have the problem, but not quite as much.

There was a roll on lotion (came in a deodorant type roll on bottle) that I had gotten by prescription (in the USA) several years back. I can't recall the name of it. It was supposed to help with severe sweating. The problem I had was that it made my hands and feet itch, so I didn't use it as much as I should. It might have been called Drysol or something.

I've bought something similar over the counter (non-prescription) in the past year for my daughter. You start out using it once or twice a day and then gradually less frequent, but you still use your regular anti-perspirant deodorants. I can't recall what this was called.....but it's possible it is the same thing I had used years ago.

Since I tend to sweat easily all over, this method wouldn't necessarily work for me. I have had to learn to have a sense of humor about it.....like when a guy holds my hand on a date and I have to warn him ahead of time.."it's slimey". If you keep a sense of humor about it, most often other will too.

I did have one very embarrassing episode tho.....several years ago, on a very hot and humid summer day, I had a job interview in an office without air conditioning. I wore a light brown skirt. During the interview...I sat with my hands clasped in my lap. Thank goodness I happened to look down before standing up on my way out, for I noticed a huge puddle had formed on the front of my skirt. I quickly held my purse in front of me, excused myself (normally, I shake hands with the interviewer) and dashed for the car. Never heard from the place again....although I don't know that I could have gone back if they had wanted me! hehehehe

My sister had an episode where she wore odor eaters in her sneakers during gym class....and they started FOAMING on her cuz her feet sweat so much!

For the foot thing...I try to wear socks with lots of cotton in them. I buy men's socks for wearing with slacks and pantsuits at work, because it's very difficult to find women's socks with cotton and that actually stay up! I wear socks even in summer when I'm running around the house.....otherwise, I might actually have a puddle on the floor wherever I sit/stand for very long.

Well....hope this gives you a little chuckle. You're not alone, ladies!

Hugs

Shelley
