Some Questions on Provera & OvulationFrom: Madie (anonymous@obgyn.net)Mon, 9 Jun 2003 16:55:50 -0500 (CDT)
I posted the following message to the Pregnancy Forum. >>I am 25 and have been ttc for the past 2 yrs. My Dr. gave me Provera >> to induce a period and 2 - 3 , 10 MG tabs are usually enough for me to get >> AF> I took Provera for 3 days starting on day 45 of my cycle. On day 52 >> I saw light spotting and 53 light bleeding but its way less than my >> usual 3 full days of bleeding. It Stopped on day 53. Some Forum posts say >> that Provera has >> the tendency to make periods light, sometimes non-existent , some say >> this could be implantation bleeding which usually occurs on days 5 & 6 >> after conception. I am really confused, irritated , slightly dizzy and >> nauseas. >> >> Can someone tell me if this could be IB or jus the Provera ? The Dr's Suggestion was to wait and do a HPT . I'm still very unclear about a couple of things... Can 3 Provera (10 MG Tabs) make withdrawal bleeding scanty ... Some previous posts on this forum mention that provera has been successfully used to induce ovulation if a follicle is mature enough ... cud this be true in my case? Has anyone had this kind of experiance before ? How many days after the spotting should a HPT be done ? Any response on this will be greatly appreciated.
