Re: Ortho-Tri-Cyclen LO - period started early

Hi Allison, thanks for the reply.

I have seen others mention the same thing about Triphasic pils and PCOS. I think my doctor put me on the Ortho-Tri Cyclen LO because I have acne on my chin.

Can you (or anyone) tell me more about the benefits of Yasmin? For example, will it also help with my acne? Does it do anything to improve extra hair growth?

I feel weird about second-guessing my doctor and asking for a specific pill, but I know it's important to speak up. She's going to be calling me any day now with the results of my ultrasound, so if I can be prepared to ask about possibly switching to Yasmin when she calls, that would be great.

Also, do any of you take other meds in addition to oral contraceptives? Or are the other meds only used when a person is not trying to prevent pregnancy and/or trying to conceive? I'm still a virgin so I'm definitely not trying to get pregnant just yet - but I want to know if there are any other meds that I should ask about.

thanks!
