Triphasic pills aren't the best type for PCOS (perhaps Dr. Sam could explain it better than I). A monophasic pill (Demulen and Yasmin are two of them) is often recommended because it provides a consistent level of hormone regulation. I was initially on Demulen, then switched to Yasmin, and my cycles have been regular with both of them.
