Wow--your Dr. shouldn't have kept you on spiro during your pgy!! That's a Class D drug (US-FDA standard); it is known to cause birth defects and should be discontinued w/o fail upon pgy. Met and other insulin sensitizers are fine during pgy--the anecdotal information and studies coming out of Europe indicate no problems during pgy, and for women with PCO, it lowers the chance of m/c significantly, as well as the chance of becoming gestationally diabetic. But the spiro--unh-unh! And the clomid (if it works for you) will work in conjunction with the met, so you should be fine there. But the levels of everything Dr. Sam can more adequately answer than I can. HTH
