Hi Alexandra,

I'm taking Yasmin, too, and I've noticed this effect. The progestin it contains is a derivative of spironolactone (an anti-androgen with a mild diuretic effect) and many who use it experience this. Drinking plenty of water, using a good moisturizer, and a healing lip medication (Vaseline Medicated Lip Therapy is the best I've run across, and I've tried many) can help ease this.

I've read that the dose in Yasmin is equivalent to about 25 mg of spiro.

I hope this has been helpful!
