Birth control usageFrom: Jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Wed, 28 May 2003 03:42:24 -0500 (CDT)
Due to lack of sexual drive after being on Yasmin for 6 months, I am considering not taking my birth control pills. I was misdiagnosed for three years until 4 months ago. I know that the first thing doctors do is put PCOS patients on birth control, although I have been on them for three years prior to my diagnosis (I think to regulate your cycle) my question is, are the pills also used for hormones replacement type things? What will happen if I stop taking the pills. (Other than the fact I probably won't be reqular) What I want to do is take Progesterone every couple of months to induce my period. I will be speaking to my doctor before I do anything, but was wondering if anyone has some words of wisdom prior to my appointment. Thanks Jodi
