We discussed this a while back--I know it's in the archive, but I can't give you much more help on it than that; my memory's fuzzy on when it was. I can tell you what our ped says about nursing and medication: as a neonatologist, he has told us that the only drugs that are truly contraindicated for nursing are chemotherapy drugs. So if you're on chemo, don't nurse. But I took my insulin sensitizer (Actos) all through the pgy and nursing and had no problems whatsoever. Subsequently, I don't need it anymore; my body is healing and my IR is almost nonexistent. Something changed after the pgy and time of nursing, and I'm not asking any questions, just giving thanks and praise. Anyhow, I hope this is helpful to you! : )
