I just wanted to add a positive story. I was diagnosed with PCOS in November 2001. I got on glucophage RX the following week. By April of 2002 I had lost 55 pounds. I was married in April also. In August of 2002 I found out I was pregnant...woohoo! I was taking 1500mg every night. I didn't find out I was pregnant until 8 weeks. My doc and I had a long chat because the effects on the fetus aren't really known. So I chose not to continue through my pregnancy....I was 9 weeks when I stopped taking glucophage RX.....AND I HAVE A HAPPY,BEAUTIFUL, AND VERY HEALTHY baby girl. GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU...but here is my question...is there anyone out there that is on glucophage and breastfeeding? Please let me know....thanks! OH another thing..when I had my ultrasound done at 8 weeks.....to see the heart beat....there were NO MORE cysts on my ovaries!!!! VERY COOL
