Re: PCOS Diagnosis/What can I do

Im not sure what I have to offer you other than you probably should get
your insulin level checked. I am amazed-I had all of these symptoms for
as long as I can remember but I didn't even know PCOS existed until I
went to a new OB/GYN a month ago and checked my insulin. (I just
thought it was something wrong with me mentally or something!) My
glucose was 85 (normal) but the insulin was 116. Probably your doc
would be much more likely to put you on met once they have seen your
counts-plus if you have high glucose (fingersticks) there is something
going on there! Just keep checking around until you find the doc that
does what you feel comfortable with. That's what I've learned form this
site and it is totally right!
Good luck,
Alyssa:-)
