Hi Lara,

I can't comprehend: were you on metformin AND BCP? Although insulin sensitizers (like metformin) are the treatment for the metabolic dsisorder at the core of PCOS, other issues have to be taken into account too. So before starting on metformin again, you should have an endocrine work-up. Have you had one? In my opinion metformin should be dosed much more cautiously for PCOS, 3000 mg seems to me extremely high. Most of your problems seem to be side effects of this high dose.
