I have been on it for about 6 months now. I used to never get my period. I tried Metformin and then had my period for about 8 weeks straight. I went to my doctor and told her I didn't want to be on that because it obviously wasn't working for me. She introduced this new BCP to me called Yasmin. I like it so much. I get my period every month and it is only for about 3 days in duration. The bleeding is not very heavy and I never get any cramping. Also, I have noticed the hair on my body and all the other weird spots girls aren't supposed to have it at decrease tremedously. The hair has turned from dark black to light blonde and has become a lot thinner. I can hardly see it now. You do not know how happy this makes me!! Another thing, I felt like I was losing hair on my head before I started Yasmin. Now that I am on it I don't see me losing as much and I don't feak out and think that I am going bald. As for the weight, I have lost a little. I have not been exercising and I think that if I were to then I would lose a lot more weight. By the way, I'm always curious to know what other people's (with PCOS) hight, weight, and age are, so I always tell people what mine is. I'm 24 5'4 and 166lbs. I feel that I am about 30 lbs over weight. I have gained this weight over the past 3 years. Again, exercise is probably the problem. Anyway, I hope I helped with your question regarding the BCP Yasmin. I think that you should give it a try.
