If you are and you dont want to conceive anytime in the very near future see if your dr will put you on Propecia--I am the same age as you with similar probs adn Propecia has worked for me. My hairdresser told me that my hair is starting to grow in and looks like it will return to normal--albeit slowly, and with more greys--but hey who's complaining! Anyway it takes about 3 months to really take action, but from what I can tell it really does work.
