Angela,

I was diagnosed with PCOS a few months ago, but apparently I have had it for several years. I am going through treatment because my husband and I are trying to conceive. I am taking 500 mg a day of Metaphormin and my Clomiphene dosage was increased to 100 mg days 5-9 of my period. At first, my doctor prescribed provera to induce my period. However, last month I started on my own (yeah). So, hopefully, I will be pregnant this month.

But, I know how you feel--I was really scared when I started having to take all of the different types of medications. I've never really had to take much medicine for anything ever! I have a wonderful doctor that I can call and she is more than willing to answer any questions. Also, I have read a lot of information on the internet and it is very encouraging because women with PCOS have children all of the time once they are diagnosed and see medical attention. My thoughts and prayers are with all women you suffer from PCOS. Good luck.

Connie
