It is safe for you to take them both at once, but if you're wanting to do that, you might have your doctor switch you to XR which is extended release, so that it lasts throughout the day and you only have to take it once a day. I take 2500 of regular met and I do take 2 at once, for lunch and supper, and 1 for breakfast, so it is okay to do that, but then again, I am on a much higher dose than you, and I take it more often. I am no doctor but it seems like it may work better for you to be on XR, as I don't know how long regular met stays in your system, or if you would get all the benefits by taking 2 pills at once. Does any of this make sense to you? I am sorry if I sound like I am talking in circles here! Good Luck!
