HI Jenny-

Well, I have been on (and off) glucophage (met) several times. It usually took a few weeks at the 1000mg level before I started my period and even longer at the 1500mg before they became somewhat regular (indicating perhaps some predictable ovulation). I have read many stories of people who have indeed gotten pregnant with just Met/glucophage. However, many more end up trying a comnination of glucophage and Clomid. Hang in there!!! If you are tolerating the 1000mg/day and still don't have any sign of a period in a few weeks (2-3) I'd call your doctor to see about increasing the dose. It sounds like you may be one of the lucky folks who tolerate the medication well (I'm not, hence the on again off again).
