Orthocept - non-existant monthly period

Dr., I have been on Orthocept 28 day for 8.5 years. I have never had problems with it in the past. The last 3-4 months my period has been only a couple days and extremely light. I have taken a pregnancy test each month for the past few months suspecting possible pregnancy, all tests were negative. My last visit to my doctor was about 5 months ago and everything was fine.

My husband and I are not planning on trying to have children for another couple years, my fear is that my period will be gone completely by that time. Is this a sign of becoming infertile??
