Keeping the faith

I have had Pcos for 12 years now. i never realized just what that meant, until 4 years ago. I had a gyn diagnose me with it in 1991. I started my period at age 13 and seemed pretty normal, until one day they stopped. I found a gyn specializing in reproductive disorders, since obviously I was having a problem. He basically said "it was normal to be abnormal" and that I could start taking the pill to have a period. I wasn't married at the time, nor planning to be anytime soon so I accepted the diagnosis and didn't really question the long term affects or was told of the problems I might face down the road whenever I might try to become pregnant. I married in 1995. We established our careers and bought a house in 1999. We decided it was time to start a family and I went off the pill. No period. No conception. I went to see my doctor only to find out that we would have to seek infertility measures (clomid, prometrium, hcg, etc) and I was mad. We would have started trying earlier had I known what we would be facing. So I being a nurse felt betrayed so I found a new doctor, one who would be upfront with us and above all honest. After many blood tests, HSG test, and sperm tests -- we were ready to start trying. I had healthy eggs and my husband had healthy sperm, but getting them together was going to be the difficult part. On our first try, I got pregnant. I then miscarried at 7 weeks. I was so disappointed. That was Jan of 2001. I have since then learned I have a thyroid disorder as well and am borderline insulin resistent. So I am now on Metformin. Still no luck with conceiving. I have heard some info regarding Vitamin B6. Is there anything to it and will it help people like us with PCOS? I am sorry this is so lengthy, but it's hard finding someone to talk to and I wanted to share my troubles with people who are now learning they have PCOS so that they don't wait around to ask the life changing questions. Please give me any inspiration if you have som and any info of anything else that might aid my trying to concive. Thanks so much..
