Hi KIM,

Ovulation is very tricky to diagnose. You always have cervical mucus, what you may refer to maybe the thin, eggwhite-like mucus used in the self-observation method. Now, this type of CM only indicates that you have high estrogen levels which in turn is tipical on the day before ovulation, but does not necessarily indicate you HAVE ovulated. This method combined with basal body temperature measurments is really a good method to inform you about ovulation, secretory (luteal) phase and early pgy. There are many success stories with metformin, just read the archives. -good luck
