Re: Was I misdiagnosedFrom: Jodi (anonymous@obgyn.net)Fri, 21 Mar 2003 20:18:25 -0600 (CST)
Sandra, Not sure about the misdiagnosis, usually it tends to take awhile or be tricky to just get diagnosed with PCOS. Since PCOS is a syndrome and the symptoms may not be exactly alike I wouldnt jump to the conclusion just yet. I have had times of seeming normal and times of feeling all the symptoms, even had atleast one whole year of regular menses without pills or such and no hair on face or weight issues. All in all it has caught up with me and now I just started taking met and am very glad to have a wonderful doctor. Have your doctor do the FSH test, test your levels of LH and FSH to see if they are unbalanced (one twice as high as other) and also see if you have elevated TESTERONE levels. These may be good indicators for you and your doctor. Take Care, Jodi
