I would love to communicate with your daughter if she'd be willing. I am 22 years old, and my whole life have been incredibly healthy, athletic, and a conscientious eater. Last year i went thru a period where i lost a large amount of weight for no apparent reason, and then all of a sudden i began to gain weight. I am 5-1 and normally 115 pounds and so a 15-20 pound weight gain seemed incredible to me. I was completely miserable, tried eating less, workingout more, eating no carbs, and everything possible, but i still felt terrible and i was not losing any weight. finally my mom saw an article about PCOS and i saw a doctor and now i am on glucophage. i guess it is working, although i still am not the same weight i used to be, despite maintaining a low-carb diet and working out. I wondered if anyone out there had tips for losing weight, healthily. i just haven't had this long enough to know what the long-term effects are, and this is my first time on this site so i'm not sure what is available. is it possible to maintain the weight i used to be now that i have PCOS or do i just ahve to get used ot my "new body"?
thanks.
