Just a thought, but the pain you have been describing sounds a LOT like endometriosis, which can also cause infertility. I would think if your dr went in and looked around he/she would have noticed it, but you never know. I have both endometriosis and PCOS. Basically endo causes killer cramps (although anyone who has ever had it knows that is an understatement). they usually occur around your period, but can last all month. Sex can be painful depending on where the lesions are located. If you want to know anymore info, I'd be happy to talk to you and you can email me privately ambie149@cs.com
