Thatnis a pretty normal dose for the metaformin.  The side effects
can be pretty bad as well.  With insulin resistance yout glucose levels can
be normal and the insulin levels will be higer.  You should worry about insulin
reisitence because studies show if it is not treated that you could eventually
end up with Type II Diabetes.  There is a great book Living with PCOS by Boss
and WEidman.  It has all the info on tests what is normal and not normal.  I
I would suggest this to help yoou understand what is really going on.
PCOS is a clinical diagnosis. You may not have all of the symptoms but just a
few.  Good luck.
