Dr. Sam: a Diane-35 question

Hi Dr. Sam,

I'm currently on 100 mg Spiro for my hirsutism and I want to add on Diane-35 as well (I tried Yasmin and it gave me a racey heart). However, in the contraindications section that comes with the pills it says not to take Diane-35 if you have jaundice. Well I don't have jaundice now, but I did have it when I was a newborn baby (just once...they put me under fluorescent lights and it went away). So does this mean I should not take the Diane-35, or should I have some liver tests done before I do?

Thanks for your help.
