Question for you all. I have PCOS and was put on Glucophage XR. Anyway,
the constipation is horrible and I have not been able to lose any
weight. I'm on 1000mg at the evening meal. Other symptoms have
decreased - the cravings and the hirsutism and I'm calmer, so I know
it's helping. I've been on the medication 5 months. I was wondering if
any of you knew why this medication affects me this way? The symptoms
have not decreased, so my doctor put me on lactulose which helps with
the constipation. I was wondering if any of you knew why the medication
is affecting me this way. Is it not getting absorbed into my system?
Also, what does 'IR symptoms' mean? THanks!
