Hi Ruth: You and I are on the same boat! I went to my endocrinologist because I had all of the symptoms of PCOS and in testing me for PCOS they found that I also am hypothyroid. The good thing is that the thyroid problem is easy to treat, just one tiny pill every morning. After taking the synthroid for my thyroid and the metformin for the PCOS for a little over two months now, I am feeling a lot better and I have actually lost 22 pounds with very little effort.
