>Hi Susan...I am so sorry to hear about your bad experience with the doctor. I have been to many doctors because I just was not satisfied with what I was hearing. I heard all kinds of stuff but the most upsetting by far was "I can't treat you unless you lose weight". I told him he must not be a very good doctor seeing he can only treat skinny woman and added the point that me being overweight is one of my SYMPTOMS! Anyway, this is probably much too far for you, but I found an awesome OBGYN in Orlando. It is a woman and she's been very thorough. She has put me on Metformin and I've been on it for just over a week now. I'll keep you posted...so far I feel pretty good! Take care, Lori

If you don't mind would you list her name. My insurance is Florida based and I may have better luck getting her approved. As it is I am considering paying for a doctor out of my own pocket, but he too, is very far away. I am desparate at this point.

I would like to hear how you get along on the metformin. Thanks to everyone that took the time to respond. I really appreciat the information.
