Re: Breakthrough bleeding and BCP's

I have PCOS, and started Dianette (dont know what it's called in the US) about 5 weeks ago. It's a BCP, but not primarily, it's really used for acne. I was told it would help my PCOS, being the new treatment for it, instead it made me start bleeding uncontrollably, so much so that I've had to stop it, and am now taking Danazol to stop the bleeding. Danazol is a drug that puts you into the menopause and supposedly stops your periods, but I'm still bleeding at the moment, although not as badly. Having just had triplets ten weeks ago after successful clomid/metformin treatment, I've had my family (now 5 children), and have decided to ask for a hysterectomy. PCOS isn't my only problem though, and I know it wont cure that. I just wanted to say that I've been there, if I find a way to stop it I'll let you know. No BCP has worked for me so far, but the mirena coil helped a little. Good luck, Lisa xx
