I have been to many doctors because I just was not satisfied with what I was hearing. I heard all kinds of stuff but the most upsetting by far was "I can't treat you unless you lose weight". I told him he must not be a very good doctor seeing he can only treat skinny woman and added the point that me being overweight is one of my SYMPTOMS! Anyway, this is probably much too far for you, but I found an awesome OBGYN in Orlando. It is a woman and she's been very thorough. She has put me on Metformin and I've been on it for just over a week now. I'll keep you posted...so far I feel pretty good!
