My suggestion is to keep looking! Keep your spirits up! tamtime66 Susan <anonymous@obgyn.net> wrote:I went to see an endocrinologist today. I have tested positive for IR. He told me to loose wait and I will not be insulin resitant anymore. This is the third Doctor I've seen. I keep being told that metformin is an experimental drug and not approved for use in PCOS. My question is .. Can any doctor Rx. metformin or does it have to come from an endocrinologist? Does anyone know of a doctor in the Jacksonville Florida area? I have had PCOS for 22yrs. and really need help. My symptoms have increased in the last couple of years. I really thought that I would get help with an endocrinologist. I had to fight for this referal and ended up leaving his office in tears. I got all of 10 minutes of his time after waiting 2 months for the appointment. Any suggestions of where to go for help from here would be appreciated. Thanks, Susan Yahoo! Tax Center - forms, calculators, tips, and more
