a questionFrom: anonymous (anonymous@obgyn.net)Tue, 18 Feb 2003 14:40:58 -0600 (CST)
I had a hysterectomy when I was 13 years old. But, due to my young age, my ovaries were left. When I was 32 I had my ovaries removed. At the time the doctor told me they were filled with cysts. I am interested in finding out more about the connection between PCOS and weight gain. Even though I don't have ovaries, I still belive I have/had PCOS. Anyone else struggling with excessive weight gain? And slow weight loss? I have tried Weight Watchers, Optifast, Slim Fast, Nutrisystem, etc. I lose and then gain back. I have had a doctor tell me I'm fighting a losing battle, that I am programed to be overweight. I can't accept this. I'm too much of a fighter to just give in. Any ideas? comments? suggestions?
