I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 19 and I am now 27. The hair growth became worse and worse as the years went by. I took Spiro for one whole year and barely noticed a change in the hair growth. Then I used Vaniqa (a prescription cream that slows the growth, but does not eliminate it) for a year and that gave a better result. Last month I had my first laser hair treatment on my face ( one in a series of four) and I can't believe how much lighter the hair growth is! The doctor swears that the results should last years and years. If that's true, this will be one of the best things that has ever happened to me!

My advice is this... If the amount of hair growth is still light enough to control with a daily regimen of tweezing (or whatever you prefer) then put off the laser treatment for awhile. If the hair becomes thicker and is taking too much of your time, then start considering the laser treatment.
