Re: Using Spironolactone: when to begin laser hr?From: Sue (anonymous@obgyn.net)Thu, 13 Feb 2003 09:38:09 -0600 (CST)
>I am a 22 year old with hirsutism. I started taking 50 mg of spiro daily about a week ago and I'm wondering how long I should wait before beginning laser hair removal...< I can't tell you anything about laser removal, but I can tell you that it usually takes a good 3-6 months before you'll begin seeing quantifiable results with the spiro. 50 mg is a very low dose if you have PCO, though. Most of us are on 100-200 mg doses; you might want to talk the doctor who prescribed it for you and see about a more significant dosage. HTH
