Re: Avandia?

This is just my experience and I certainly wouldn't disuade anyone from trying it. I'm usually the odd one with meds, having the side effects of the minority rather than the experiences of the majority.

My former RE has been studying Avandia at Stanford and was quite positive about the expected outcome. It's been more than a year since I've had any contact or update on the activities. In 2001, I tried it independently for about 9 months. It gave me very regular "cycles" from what I could tell but they weren't necessarily "periods". I got horrible migraines every 28-29 days from the start and bleeding to go with it. I gained 25 pounds in 9 months, due to no lifestyle changes, and despite being really sick once a month.

Good Luck.

Kari
